INTERNATIONAL ALL-STARS TO PLAY
SOUTHEAST ALL-STARS IN
JANUARY 2010
The annual Sunshine Bowl
Championship weekend is set for January 16, 17 & 18, 2010
in Homestead, Florida. This is the oldest and largest post season
championship series in the nation that includes the AA, AAA National
Championships, various bowl games such as the North vs South Championship
on Friday night, and a all-star game at noon on Saturday. This year
a team of all stars made up of players from Canada, England and
the USA will take on the host Southeast Football League All-Stars.
Players who are interested in joining
the International All-Stars can sign up by emailing: PIFL98@aol.com.
The cost is $60.00. Players receive a all-star t-shirt and cap.
They must bring a white game jersey and their team's game pants.
Practices will be held on Wednesday afternoon, and morning and afternoon
practices on Thursday and Friday, at the practice sites next to
Harris Stadium in Homestead. Times will be announced. Head Coach
is Ralph Kratochvil, who guided the MainLand All-Stars to a win
in the annual Volcano Bowl in Hawaii over the Hawiian Warriors,
this past January. Phil Lytle, Head Coach of the Asheville Grizzlies
will be the Defensive Coordinator, and Brian Smallworth and Robert
Shaw, Head Coaches of teams in England, will be running backs and
offensive line coaches and will bring players from their teams.
Additional coaches are needed.
Here's a chance to play with players
from around the USA, England and Canada, plus have fun in the warm
sun with Miami Beach only 30-miles away.
International All-Stars will be housed
at the Homestead Day Inn Motel. Rates are $65.00 per night for a
single or double. This includes a continental breakfast. Plenty
of restaurants near by, and a Sports Bar.
Information on how to sign up for the
game and motel will be send via mail. Please include your name,
position you play, last team you played for, and your mailing address,
and we will make you a brochure with complete details on how to
sign up.
